Barrios’s journey in the sanitation industry began in 2000, working as a driver for a farm labor contractor who needed a professional to service their units. His commitment to the field led him to purchase his own equipment, starting with a 1990s Ford F-450 and a few refurbished trailers in 2009 to offer pumping services. In 2014, he expanded his fleet by purchasing a truckload of units from a retiring business owner. These early efforts eventually led to the founding of Barrios Enterprise in 2009, which was later incorporated as Barrios Site Services, Inc. in 2022 to reflect the company’s expanded service offerings.

Barrios’s experience is defined by his hands-on approach and dedication to his clients. He has personally stepped into field roles when necessary, such as when a delivery driver was unavailable during a surge of orders, to ensure on-time service and meet deadlines. This type of problem-solving is not new to Barrios; he has also navigated significant challenges like supply chain issues and rapid surges in demand. For example, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when handwash stations were in high demand and short supply, Barrios fabricated his own using metal frames and water drums to ensure he could meet his clients’ needs.
